How can I explain how or why I love the Eiffel Tower? It isn't the beams or the bolts. For years, the Eiffel Tower has been symbolic of a dream, a love, the number one destination on my bucket list. I reserved a time/ticket for my Eiffel Tower tour from the U.S. months in advance. I would be realizing my dream and, I would be going all the way to the top. "I won't let fear steal my dreams". "Millions of people go to the top of the Eiffel Tower and, they are all fine".
Fast foward...I am standing under the Eiffel Tower. It is so much bigger in person than in pictures. Sure, I had read the stats but, standing under it...wow. When we approached the open air, window-filled elevator, it started. The funny feeling in my stomach, the sweaty palms, checking out the construction of the cables pulling the elevator. That's what we do right? Those of us who are afraid of heights.
There are three levels of the Eiffel Tower. I was fine on the way to level one. Somewhere in between levels one and two...I lost it. The eyes closed, heart racing, panic, let. me. off. feeling. Thankfully, on level two the doors open for wimps and, I bolted! I can't imagine how high the top level must seem. The view from the second level is magnificent! I thought about feeling disappointed in myself but, no way. I was in Paris...the center of my universe. I was in the Eiffel Tower and, I am who I am. A very lucky girl who is afraid of heights.

These are awesome! I too...am very shazy with heights, but some of the best views...are at the top! =) Reminds me of Pretty Woman. Gotta get the Penthouse...cause it's the best! =) But how cool is that? =) Can't wait to visit one day! SO happy you got to experince it! =) And this cartoon...CUTEST THING...EVER!!! I always wondered what Phineas & Ferb were all about & it is so so cute! =) I would totally watch this! LOL! And the message...classic! =) SO SO typical! =) B would be looking for the nearest golf course, or a place to watch the game! =) But really... =(. LOL! But...he WOULD go wherever I wanted him too. That part is good. =) Love this...all! Singing..."in the city of love"...LOL! XO
