It's A Greek Halloween!

Okay, so this is the year Avery convinced me to dress up with her for Halloween.  She is crazy about Greek Mythology and, chose Greek Goddess costumes for us.  We will be welcoming the ghosts and goblins to Medusa's Lair.  The recently slain Medusa's grave is in the yard with snakes trying to escape the ground.  We are super excited!  We are planning an evening of good food, family, and fun!  TONS of kids trick or treat in our neighborhood so, we are stocking up on candy!  Avery loves handing out candy more than actually trick or treating.  However, we will be visiting the spooky houses in our neighborhood.  Have a peek at our costumes!

Fall In Love: Brilliant Seasonal Bokeh

(via)
It's "Fall In Love" Tuesday!  "Fall In Love" is my first link-up series created to share a love for the fall/autumn season.  Join me every single Tuesday to share your fall inspired posts!  Share anything related to the season.  Your posts inspire me and, I can't wait to read more!

To "Fall In Love":  1.  Make sure you are "following along" on Big City Belle.  2.  Insert the Fall In Love button from my sidebar in your fall related post.  3.  Please include a link in your post to Big City Belle.  4.  Link-up at the bottom of this post.  5.  Check out other Fall In Love posts, make friends, be inspired, and have fun!

In photography, the Japanese term bokeh is "the blur, or the aesthetic quality of the blur, in out-of-focus areas of an image.  Differences in lens aberrations and aperture shape cause some lens designs to blur the image in a way that is pleasing to the eye."  I get lost in the beauty of bokeh or the blur.  For whatever reason, it really appeals to me.  I think the holiday season is the perfect opportunity to capture my bokeh shot.  Stay tuned!  Check out a fantastic tutorial for achieving a classic bokeh and a custom shape bokeh here.

My favorite variety of pumpkin is definitely the Cinderella Pumpkin.  I first saw Cinderella Pumpkins at Whole Foods a few years ago and, it was love at first sight.  "Cinderella Pumpkins are a unique French heirloom whose correct name is "Rouge vif D'Etampes". The source of their nickname it that they resemble the pumpkin that Cinderella's fairy godmother transformed into a carriage. This pumpkin is recorded as having been the variety cultivated by the Pilgrims and served at the second Thanksgiving dinner."   French heirloom pumpkin?  No wonder I love them!

Fall's Favorite Finds Blog Swap Reveal

(via)
Today is the big reveal day for the Fall's Favorite Finds Blog Swap.  Hooray!  Fall's Favorite Finds is a fall themed gift exchange for bloggers hosted by Caroline of Simply Smithwick and friends.  Would you believe I didn't even know what a blog swap was until a few weeks ago?  Bloggers submit a link to their blog to participate and, we were paired up with another blogger.  I was paired up with the lovely Jess of What's The Story Morning Glory.  From there on, it was just sheer joy!  We had a $20.00 to $25.00 limit for our gift for our blogger friend.  (Avery and I had the best time shopping for Jess!)  We traded addresses and, voila!  Today is when we all reveal on our blogs what we received.    Are you ready to see what I received from Jess?

It was thrilling to open this super sweet package of goodies!

Oh Jess!  This candle smells exactly like pancakes and love!

Why have I never seen these?  I love my apple travel spray!

Aren't these notebooks adorable?  I have a thing for yellow and gray so, these are perfection.  I love having pretty notebooks to scribble down inspiration and thoughts.  There are three in this pack.  I have one by my bed and one in my purse right now!

How sweet is this variety pack of tea tied with a beautiful ribbon?

Reese's Pieces (my favorite movie candy) and, a lovely handwritten note from Jess.

I am in love with this polish!  It is a beautiful gray-lavender.  I am having a mani/pedi today so, I can use this color!
